HDPE == Cutting Board, Chuck?
Hi Chris,
We linked the cutting board used in this video below:

Comment on the use of a hand “rolling” embossing tool. (Border tool) Does the leather need to be “stamped” while still fairly moist to get a good impression? Sometimes difficult to get enough pressure on the tool to get a stamped like result.
Thanks
Hi Ray,
You’ll want to wet down the leather and then once it starts returning to its original color you can start stamping/embossing. Check out the blog post linked below from Jim Linnell on how to wet leather for carving. http://blog.weaverleathersupply.com/how-to-wet-leather/
Hope this helps!
Thanks. More practice I guess.
I would like to learn how to sharpen my stitching groover and my bevelers.
Hi Elias,
We’ll link a video that Chuck did on sharpening these two tools, see if that helps!
Thank you. I help Scouts earn the Leather Work merit badge at a scout camp. I am learning so much about leather work from Chuck and passing it on to the next generation.
That’s great to hear, Elias! So glad the videos have been helpful and thank you so much for passing this on to the next generation!
