Leather toggles are a great alternative to traditional hardware closures. Watch the video as Chuck demonstrates how you can make your own! The preferred leather weight for making toggles is a 2/3 or 3/4 oz. The only other materials you will need are a knife, straight edge, and some glue.
Now that is a great way for the budget minded person. I like this for quiet too. I just wonder how long they last compared to some of the other closures.
