We thought everyone could use a good laugh so Chuck compiled some outtakes and bloopers from filming The Leather Element and project videos! We hope this puts a smile on your face and gives you a chuckle. We’ll be back to our regularly scheduled videos next week and join us for a Facebook Live with Chuck on Tuesday, March 31, 2020!
Love your bloopers! In Nebraska we say you are paying homage to Spider Woman! Since only God is perfect there has to be a booboo in all hand made products. I’m a pro at that!
Thanks Chuck🤠
Thank you, Barb! I like that!
Great video Chuck, and all this time I thought you were perfect. Bloopers or not, I enjoy your videos. Being new to leather working, I sometimes get real confused about fasteners. Can you explain about line 24 and line ??(fill in the blank), and how and why they are classified like that? I wish Weaver would offer an assortment of different size snaps and fasteners. I bought an assortment of Chinese stuff but I am unsure of their quality.
Hi Ron,
We actually have a fastener video coming out next week that talks about the different snaps. Hopefully, we can answer some of those questions for you! And thank you for the suggestion on the assortment – we’ll have to look into that!
That is great, thanks!
I see you have the same “assistant” that I do. They just want to help. : )
Thanks for sharing these. What time is the Facebook Live on Tuesday? That’s the day I’m supposed to be safe to return to work.
Hi Larry,
It’s at 2 PM eastern time. If you don’t get a chance to join we will save the video and you can watch it later!
Thanks so much…😄
Thank you, Nancy! Glad you enjoyed it!
Love this! And do I see toilet paper??? Hahahaha, so great!!!
Haha!
Well watching that video, I noted that I have beaten you to all of those scenarios. I really appreciate your instructional videos.
Thank You
Thank you, Allan! We’ll have more instructional videos coming up!
Hi Chuck. I think any time we show humility, it confirms how we are all the same. I really liked these blooper segments … BV’s makes us all so much closer. BTW, I am retired and live in Guangdong, China. Your videos have provided a way not only to make extra cash, but also provide great entertainment for us.
Hi Ronald,
Thank you so much for your comment! I’m so glad the videos have been helpful and you’re able to earn some extra cash!
Always enjoy your videos, thanks for taking the time to share your skills and experience with us!
Thank you so much, Charlie!
This was fantastic! I’m glad I’m not alone with the “doh!” moments 😂
Haha, you are definitely not alone!
Love your videos. I’ve learned so much from them. Good to see you are human too.
Question: How do you sew in a zipper? I put one on a purse I just made and am not particularly happy with the results.
Also, what is the way you recommend protecting Redrock Waxy from marks?
Hi Jim,
We haven’t done a video on sewing in a zipper but we would like to! We’ll link one here that Corter Leather did – it’s a really easy way to sew in a zipper and then we’ll link one that Maker’s Leather did, and this is attaching a zipper where you have to separate the teeth and attach the slider. Hope this helps! As far as the Redrock leather goes – it’s tanned to have a distressed look and because it’s a pull-up leather it will have a “pull-up” look when bent or scratched. You can rub your finger across the mark and it should help the leather go back to the original color but it will get a more distressed look with use.

Chuck ,
I see a buffalo skull in the back ground,
Where can I buy small remnet of buffalo hide ?
I need a small amount to rap around the horn on a skull I am working on.
Really like your leather element spots .

Hi Philip,
I am not sure about the buffalo leather – we’ve had several requests for it so we’ll have to look into stocking it! I would say just do a quick search online and you should be able to find some!
Hello Chuck! I had to laugh when the cat jumped on your work bench. Reminds me of our very large main coon cat that spends way to much time right in the middle of every project on my bench. Keep up the great videos we all have time to watch them while being under self quarantine.
Thank you for watching, Robert! Yes, my cat thinks she rules the shop for sure, haha!
Really enjoyed this! Had me laughing pretty hard on a couple of these. Reminds me of the saying: “I got my tongue twisted around my eye tooth and couldn’t see a thing I was saying “!
We needed this right now!!
Thanks Chuck.
Haha! Thank you so much for watching! Glad it made you laugh!
